WCSD to host 3rd annual Wizard Wellness Expo

Don't forget to join us for our 3rd annual Wizard Wellness Expo on May 27th from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. We're excited to welcome community partners and various district club members who will be hosting stations at the event. Please note the expo is not a drop-off event- the entire family is welcome to attend.

Spring Saturday tennis clinics starting on March 22

Spring Saturday tennis clinics will be starting on March 22nd at the high school tennis courts from 11:00 a.m. to noon. This clinic will be free of charge and open to children from 6 to 12 years told. Please register by sending an email to amadelbue@gmail.com with student’s name, age, school and parent’s contact information. Looking forward to seeing your kids on the courts!

Washingtonville High School’s gym is buzzing with excitement this spring, as the district celebrates its first Unified Basketball team! This incredible program brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team and has been a dream several years in the making, thanks to the dedication of the school’s athletic director, Suzanne Lendzian and other staff members across the district.

The Transportation Department has officially completed all three mandatory NYS Bus Safety Drills for the 2024/2025 school year. In an effort to continue educating our students, here is the guide in which our drivers use to conduct their drills and prepare students for possible bus emergencies.

The Making a Difference Award recognizes the many examples of individual teachers, aides, drivers, safety, and other District staff who are making a difference in the lives of our children throughout our buildings. Last week, Superintendent Dr. Larry Washington, along with Board of Education President Sharon Williams and Vice President Robin White, delivered the Making a Difference Award to each April recipient.

Washingtonville High School buzzed with excitement as families, faculty and students explored hands-on activities and presentations during the 2025 district-wide STEM Night on April 29. Students proudly displayed their projects while more than 100 families packed the building to support Washingtonville’s growing STEM programs.
