We are pleased to announce that all students enrolled at Washingtonville CSD will be able to receive a FREE breakfast and lunch meal at school beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

The halls of Washingtonville High School were buzzing with excitement as news of  the latest achievement from the music department made its way around the school on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.  The National Association of Music Merchants organization (also known as NAMM) has recognized Washingtonville Central School District for their 2024 - Best Communities for Music Education Award. This national award is given to school districts for their outstanding commitment to music education. This is the 11th year in a row that Washingtonville CSD has received this honor.

Washingtonville Middle School students received a visit from Tom Murphy and Rick Yarosh of Sweethearts and Heroes on Friday, April 19, 2024. Students actively participated in an assembly where they learned about H.O.P.E (Hold on possibilities exist) and how this one word can affect their lives. 

2024 Board of Education election

The Washingtonville Central School District drew names to determine the order of this year's Washingtonville Board of Education candidates on the May 21, 2024 ballot. Meet the Candidates Night is scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 7 p.m. at Round Hill Elementary. If you would like the candidates to answer a question, you may submit questions to the District Clerk by 3 p.m. Monday, May 6.

The Making a Difference Awards recognize the many examples of individual teachers, aides, drivers, safety, and other District staff that are making a difference in the lives of our children throughout our buildings.

Nina Giordani, who has been teaching at Washingtonville High School since 2007, was recently honored by Senator James Skoufis at the first annual Women’s Recognition Night at Tapped Brewery and Bar in Middletown.

Faculty and staff from Washingtonville Central School District’s three elementary schools – Little Britain, Round Hill and Taft – learned about how poverty can affect a family at any time and what they can do to help them when they have a need. The whole district is now experienced in poverty simulation, teaching them how to help families who have a poverty need.
