WMS Wind Ensemble and Select Chorus travel to Dorney Park

Washingtonville Middle School's Wind Ensemble and Select Chorus traveled to Dorney Park on Saturday, May 13. They performed three pieces each, earning high scores for both of their categories and taking home first-place trophies! It was a fun and fulfilling day for everyone!
Seventh grader Helen Gillman won Honorable Mention in the Orange County ADAC Poster/Essay Contest for her poster entry. She was recognized for her artwork with the theme, “Drug Free, just like Me!” A ceremony was held at the Paramount Theater in Middletown among her peers from other Orange County schools.
