Making papyrus like the ancient egyptians did it at WMS
Mr. Bogaczyk's and Mr. Forrester's sixth-grade Social Studies classes made papyrus during their study of Ancient Egypt.
Papyrus is not technically paper, but it was used to write and draw, from hieroglyphs to mathematics and calendars!
Papyrus was the first writing material that had many of the properties of paper, but was invented in approximately 3000 BC. Papyrus for writing was created from the papyrus water-plant that grew in the Nile River delta.
